     He says that because the Soviets withdrew from Afghanistan, the Taleban could move in, and al-Qaeda took root, and we got 9/11.

     One, is he blaming Reagan?  Two, the Taleban didn't take root in Afghanistan for many years after the Soviets left.  It was the truly awful rule of the thugs and warlords (whom America has no re-empowered in Afghanistan) that created the environment where the Taleban could thrive, not to mention the Taleban's support from Pakistan and Turkmenistan.

     Mind-numbingly stupid.

     Then he goes on and on about Syria.  Even though we know that four or five times more people are coming from Saudi Arabia.
