Senator James Inhofe, Deceives in Part, Dubious en toto

Senator J Inhofe of Oklahoma, on the Senate Floor now, deceives the listener when he discusses the use of a particular pine tree for a study which shows temperature increase over the last 600 years emerges exclusively in the last 100 years.  In answer to Senator Inhofe's questions to Dr. Mann, it is revealed that Dr. Mann relied on 100 different trees to develop his proxy models of climate change.  In answer to Question 8, Dr. Mann makes this clear.  Senator Inhofe leaves the distinct impression that Dr. Mann relied exclusively on the single pine tree.

Senator Inhofe's conclusion is that the "Mann Hockey Stick" has been "thoroughly discredited."  He claims that the global warming consensus is garbage.

We can hope that Senator Inhofe is one of the first to pay if he turns out to be wrong.  Likely he will continue to rake in the contributions from the usual suspects.  In order, Senator Inhofe gets the loot from 1) Energy/Natural Resources sector 2) Financial Services sector 3) Miscellaneous Businesses 4) Ideology/Single Issue givers.
