State Deptartment Briefing, Briefer Adam Ereli, 1PM Monday

Question about a report in the Polish press concerning easing of visa requirements for Poles.
• No definite answer.  Sounds likely, but they don't want to talk about it.

The questioner asks how General Ward might be different than previous envoys to consult on security to Palestine/Israel.
• The briefer refers the reporter to C Rice's statements at D Ben-Gurion airport today, where General Ward's "brief" (powers/responsibility) was explained.

Where will General Ward be based in the Middle East?
• Explains it is very early, and the details aren't available.

Is General Ward in Europe?  Will he do any interviews before he goes?
• I don't know and no.

Ex-President's son installed in Togo, any comment?

• McLellan's reply concerned the tax code, only.

Stupid war-mongering reporter asks McLellan about the sale of "long-range nuclear missiles" from Ukraine to Iran.
• They sold them missiles that _could_ carry nuclear warheads, but not ones that do.
