Senate Armed Services Committee, Thursday, Witnesses Services Heads

Senator J Warner, Chairman, Senator C Levin, Ranking

Senator B Nelson (D-NE) brings up the issue of nuclear-vessel-capable ports on the east coast of the United States, acts shocked.  Concerned about scrapping the Carrier JF Kennedy and Japan's posture, vis-a-vis nuclear vessels, in the future.

Senator J Warner mentions that B Nelson, with G Allen of Virginia, has introduced a bill to keep the carrier fleet at twelve.  An absurd policy, thanks Ben.
